Hi {{first_name|there}},
Most happy customers never leave a review. They liked the haircut, the meal or the repair, then got on with their day. In most cases, nobody asked.
The fix takes about 20 seconds. Here's how to do it without feeling awkward.
1. Ask while the good feeling is fresh
The best moment is right after something goes well: when they pay, when you hand over the keys, when the job is done and they're smiling. Wait until tomorrow and the moment has gone.
2. Use one sentence, out loud
Pick a line you're comfortable saying and use it every time. For example:
Cafe or restaurant: "If you enjoyed it, a quick Google review would really help us. I can send you the link now."
Barber or salon: "Glad you like it. Would you mind leaving us a review? It helps new customers find us."
Tradesperson: "If you're happy with the work, a Google review means a lot to a small business like ours."
3. Make it one tap
Every extra step loses people. Get your direct review link from your Google Business Profile (search for the option to share a review link on your own profile, as the wording can change). Then:
Text or WhatsApp it to the customer while they're still with you.
Turn it into a QR code with any free generator and put it on receipts, table cards, the counter or your van.
Save the link on your phone so you can send it in two taps.
4. Ask everyone, not just the people you think will say yes
Google's rules are clear that you shouldn't pick and choose who you ask. We'll cover this properly in a few weeks. For now: make the ask part of every finished job or sale.
5. Make it a team habit
Give everyone the same sentence. Keep a tally on a whiteboard or in a notes app. A small, steady number of new reviews each week beats a big push that fizzles out.

Write down your one-sentence ask, save your review link on your phone, and use both with your next five customers. Then see how many say yes.
LocalReviewBoost is built to take the chasing out of this, so reviews come in without anyone having to remember.
